Hey there! We're Morten and Chelsea, partners in life and in running Henningsvær Guesthouse and Kafe Knusarn.
Morten, a classically trained chef from Northern Norway, brings over 20 years of culinary finesse to the table, having cooked for dignitaries and globe-trotters alike. His expertise elevates each dish he creates. Meanwhile, Chelsea, a Californian with a passion for blending American and Norwegian baking traditions, honed her hospitality skills while working as a guide aboard an expedition ship for nearly a decade.
While their individual paths have been diverse, spanning continents and careers, their shared desire to be close to nature and to be part of a strong community ultimately brought them to Henningsvær. In 2023, they seized the opportunity to take over Henningsvær Guesthouse and Kafe Knusarn, eager to infuse their own brand of warmth and hospitality into the establishment.
Despite twists and turns in life, like parenthood and a change of pace, they've found joy in crafting a homely atmosphere for guests from near and far. Their mission? To infuse every stay with personal touches and delicious food, ensuring memories as sweet as their homemade cakes and buns.
